Hayley is excited to intern for the Oregon Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence as a part of Portland State University's Masters' in Social Work (MSW) program. Hayley has a BA from Willamette University in History and Spanish. She has spent the last seven years working at the intersection of women’s health, advocacy and social movement work. Her entry point into this work was volunteering as a birth doula at a community health clinic, and from here she has worked various positions including full spectrum pregnancy options counselor, case manager and most recently a family advocate at Impact NW, conducting home visits to support mothers and families from pregnancy through age three. She is deeply inspired by the Coalition's approach, linking anti-oppression and equity with DVSA work. When not working, Hayley loves backpacking, community organizing and spending time with her niece.
