In July 2019, Jonathan departed OCADSV for another opportunity. We wish him well!
Jonathan Gates (pronouns: he/him/his, they/them/theirs) is OCADSV's Communications and Events Coordinator, a position they have held since August 2013. Jonathan develops and implements the organization's communications strategy, manages all aspects of OCADSV's public-facing materials and web properties, curates the OCADSV.org online resource library, coordinates logistics for the Coalition's trainings and other events, and serves as the de facto office information technology (IT) administrator. In their free time, Jonathan enjoys reading, spending time with their partner, listening to live jazz, and going on the occasional day hike.
Jonathan strongly believes that by challenging systemic inequities and cultural norms that allow violence to occur, cis men (and all people who hold social privilege) can play a critically important role in ending all forms of oppression, including (but not limited to!) domestic and sexual violence.
In their free time, Jonathan enjoys reading, spending time with their partner, listening to live jazz, and going on the occasional day hike.
