This presentation is designed to help both the veteran and non-veteran community become more familiar with and understanding of the unique experiences, needs, challenges, and barriers of women service members and veterans. Participants will gain an understanding of how how services look different through the gender and cultural lenses and why it is important not only to identify women veterans but to adjust services toward intentionally including them. By expanding our individual and collective knowledge of women military members and veterans, and by committing to intentional inclusivity at all levels, women veterans will become less invisible in this country, community partners will improve the level and quality of services they provide and all will feel the shift toward a more caring and purposeful approach.
