Trauma-informed Care for Survivors of Intimate Partner Violence

Hear from Oregon-based care providers experienced in serving survivors of domestic and intimate partner violence, as well as sexual assault.  These providers are known as “advocates” and their role is specifically focused on supporting survivors.
Learn what advocates do from the perspective of trauma-informed care, presented by Vanessa Timmons, Executive Director of the Oregon Coalition Against Domestic & Sexual Violence.  This presentation is followed by a panel of advocates who are co-located in healthcare settings across Oregon as they share their experience working with survivors.
Presenting co-located advocates include:

Kimber Lundy & Erin Widener-Richardson, Tillamook County Women’s Resource Center, Tillamook, OR
Mercedes Hill, HAVEN from Domestic & Sexual Violence, The Dalles, OR
Vanessa, Volunteers of America Home Free, Portland, OR
