Connecticut Coalition Against Domestic Violence (CCADV) strengthens Connecticut's response to victims of domestic violence. CCADV is the federally recognized domestic violence coalition in Connecticut. Through the Violence Against Women Act and the Family Violence Prevention and Services Act, we are federally mandated to provide training and technical assistance to our 18 member organizations and within systems which impact survivors of domestic violence, including law enforcement, prosecution, courts, human services agencies, healthcare, corrections, the military and other public systems. Additionally, we engage in public awareness campaigns, advocate for system policy change, manage contracts on behalf of our membership and we are the leading voice for survivors of domestic violence in the Connecticut General Assembly where we are public policy advocates. Our scope is statewide and we represent Connecticut in national domestic violence forums.
CCADV is seeking a full-time Director of Health Professional Outreach who will lead Connecticut's healthcare response to intimate partner violence (IPV) through education, institutional support, technical assistance and a streamlined process for referrals to community-based IPV provider resources.
