The focus of this new position is to provide immediate access to voluntary therapeutic interventions and behavioral health supports to survivors accessing domestic and sexual violence services with the YWCA. The person hired for this role will provide one-on-one interventions and group support for DV/SA survivors to build coping skills and resiliency around past and current trauma from abuse, complete assessments and interventions for mental health and substance use disorders, and provide supports for developing healthy relationships. The role will provide support to existing program staff who are certified Peer Wellness Specialists as well as MSW and Counseling interns. This position will also participate in training and development opportunities to peers in the behavioral health and DV/SA communities.
