2024 Statewide needs assessment

The 2024 OCADSV Needs Assessment Report analyzed data sets from several assessments and surveys together with the 2024 Statewide Needs Assessment survey data to show the existing service needs and systemic gaps. The additional assessments and surveys analyzed include: OCADSV’s 2023 Salary Survey; OCADSV’s Statewide Violence Prevention Assessment; Oregon Alliance to End Gender Based Violence’s 2024 Priority Survey Findings; and the Oregon data from the national ReStoryation Project.

2024 Salary Survey

To gather data for this report OCADSV Staff and Interns started collecting information in
December 2022 through May 2023. They employed interviews and surveys to collect
quantitative and qualitative data about the salary scales and benefits offered at member
programs.

2024 Restoryation: workforce Sustainability Project

Recognizing the need for more in-depth information specific to the experiences of staff at DV/SA organizations, OCADSV participated in a national advocacy workforce needs assessment which was called Restoryation. For the Restoryation project, OCADSV partnered with state and territory coalitions as well as researchers to design assessment tools, collect data to analyze the data and present the findings in a published report. The goals of the needs assessment were: to identify ways to improve workforce sustainability to ensure survivors have access to quality support services in the future; and to better understand what is happening in Oregon. Data from the report has been instrumental to OCADSV in identifying training and technical assistance needs, and resources to support advocacy workforce resilience, capacity building and well-being.

2024 Oregon Statewide Violence Prevention Assessment

In 2024, OCADSV engaged in a coalition capacity assessment process as part of a broader funding partnership through the Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s Rape Prevention and Education program. The purpose of the assessment was to better understand the current role and existing strengths of OCADSV’s primary prevention efforts in Oregon and identify unmet community needs and priorities for advancing prevention efforts across the state and into the future. The assessment involved engaging community partners and practitioners across multiple disciplines and utilizing a data-driven approach to establish recommendations and action steps.

2026 Oregon Alliance to End GBV Priority Setting Survey Report

Founded in 1999, the Oregon Alliance to End Gender Based Violence (aka ‘the Alliance’) is a grassroots effort to dedicated to promoting legislation in Oregon will protect and empower survivors of sexual and domestic violence.
Every two years, the Alliance’s Steering Committee conducts a survey of survivor advocates and allied partners to inform legislative priorities. Information provided via survey responses has been critical in identifying the highest, most urgent needs of survivors across the state.
