Emerging Leaders Series

We are excited to announce a new learning series opportunity for OCADSV Member Programs. BB Beltran & Hilary Levine will facilitate the Emerging Leaders Learning Series. This series will consist of five facilitated discussions geared towards growing equitable and foundational leadership skills for community based domestic and sexual violence programs. The series is a good match for those who are new to leadership or who would like to grow into leadership positions in the future. Topics will include:

  • Communication- Conflict Management and Leaning Into Hard Conversations 
  • Stress Management, Thriving, and Sustainability as Leaders 
  • Trauma Informed Supervision 
  • Hiring, Training, & Supporting Advocates & Staff / Growing New Leaders in Your Agency
  • Operationalizing Equity

WHO:
Folks who work at an OCADSV Member program and or tribal programs who are fairly new leaders or who aspire to grow into leaders within their agency. 20 spots available. If we receive over 20 registrations we will accept folks with diversity in representation in mind for robust discussions. 

The monthly presentations will refer to one another and build upon skills throughout the series so it is best if you can commit to attending each discussion session. That being said, we understand that you are busy and things come up. If you think it will be hard for one person to make it to all of the discussions you may sign up as an agency and multiple people may take turns attending the discussions and share information with one another. Q and A sessions are optional space for digging deeper or asking questions about applying skills in your organization.

WHAT:

TIME COMMITMENT: 

  • Five Themed Presentation and Discussions
  • Five optional Question and Answer sessions 
  • Some “homework” – preparatory reading or multimedia to watch/listen to for themed discussions not to exceed 1-2 resources per month.
