We are thrilled to hiring for a Housing Advocate to serve survivors of Sex Trafficking! We really want to hire someone with lived experience with sex trafficking, sex trades, etc. or that demonstrates a high level of passion and knowledge for serving this survivor population.

Home Free has several wrap-around programs for survivors of domestic and sexual violence and we are committed to highly individualized services in which we empower every survivor to affirm their strengths. We provide a broad range of transitional services to help ensure each survivor’s ability to transition to a full life not defined by domestic violence. While also acknowledging and responding to the barriers many survivors face by offering support in several community settings. Home Free’s programs provide long-term, post-crisis support designed to prevent survivors from having to return to an abusive situation. Our commitment to reaching survivors means mobile, active advocacy that reduces the barriers to domestic and sexual violence support services.  

The Housing Advocate is responsible for development, coordination, follow-up and delivery of long-term/permanent Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and supportive services to survivors of domestic and sexual violence, providing case management, economic empowerment, and resource connection to survivors in the HUD housing program The Housing Advocate also focuses on increasing housing options for domestic and/or violence survivors through establishing linkages with landlords, property managers, and other service providers.  This includes providing information, support, safety planning and advocacy services in a housing first model. This person co-facilitates a weekly survivor support group. Preferred candidates will have lived experience or professional experience working with survivors of sex trafficking or sex trades. Bilingual Preferred, Russian or Ukrainian Strongly Preferred.

Compensation:, $21.78 – $29.39/hour and there is 1.5% bilingual preferred in addition to the posted rate, (Depends on Experience and/or Certifications). This is a full-time position with excellent benefits! Benefits package includes medical, dental and vision insurance, life insurance, short and long-term disability insurance, 403(b) with automatic 5.5% contribution after 18-months regardless of employee participation, flexible spending account, employee assistance program, and other voluntary benefits and discounts. A generous paid time off plan includes 15 days in the first year, 23 days in the second year, and 26 days in the third year, in addition to 10 paid holidays and 3 paid personal holidays per year.
